Student SHOUT OUT 📢 Congratulations to 8th-grader, Anna Brown, for doing so well at "The Ultimate Shake" competition at the Jones Center last week! This competition takes kids from all over NWA and puts them in different situations to challenge their character and leadership skills. And of course, actual handshakes were a big part of it! When asked where did she learn to get such a solid handshake, Anna replied, "Shakin' everybody's hands at church on Sundays!"
Since it is National Poetry Month, Mr. Walker decided to make this month's library contest a poetry challenge! Students must write a poem about reading and be at least 50 words. 📃

Congratulations to our GMS Student of the week! 6th grader, Asher Sisemore, is our winner. Ms. Galyean said, "Asher showed bravely in the face of an arachnid situation in my classroom last week. He offered to look for and kill the beast. I greatly appreciated his willingness to sort it out due to the fact that I was too scared to do it myself. He also comes in every morning without fail to get his math checked and is constantly pushing himself academically. Asher is an amazing example of a GMS student. Awesome kid!" Nice work, Asher! 👏
