Congratulations to Autumn Brown, an 11th-grade student at Gravette High School, for earning the Arkansas Seal of Biliteracy in Spanish! Autumn is the first junior in our school to receive this recognition! Autumn has demonstrated exceptional proficiency in both English (her first language) and Spanish, earning scores that showcase her skills in listening, reading, writing, and speaking. This achievement opens doors for future scholarships and job opportunities. Students who earn the Seal gain recognition for their ability to communicate fluently in more than one language, making them highly competitive in today's global workforce. 🎨🚌 Our 5th graders from Gravette Upper Elementary had an enriching experience at Crystal Bridges Museum of American Art! They enjoyed a vibrant jazz performance by musicians from the Lincoln Center in New York City. 🎷🎺 Students exposure to art and music builds creativity, critical thinking, and cultural awareness—essential tools for lifelong learning. The Gravette High School Future Business Leaders of America club took 80 students to the Spring Conference at NWACC on Wednesday, and every single student placed in their event, earning the chance to compete at State in April! Out of the 80 students, 10 earned first-place finishes! 🏅👏 Additionally, Emma Garrett was installed as the new District VII FBLA Secretary. Looks like our Superintendent found himself at the center of a little... holiday magic yesterday. A couple mischievous elves snuck in and spread Christmas cheer all over the desk, the shelves, and the floor! They couldn’t help but to make themselves at home. 🎄 Maybe this was their way of showing appreciation for all the hard work and care Superintendent Mr. Gravette puts into our school district every day. His dedication to the community and his holiday spirit are truly inspiring, and we’re lucky to have him leading the way. Join us tomorrow for the annual Gravette Christmas Parade!!! The City of Gravette's annual Christmas Parade is tomorrow, Saturday, December 7, at 4:30 PM. This year’s theme is "A Candy Land Christmas!" Festivities start at 3:30 PM with an Open House at the Gravette Public Library, where you can enjoy hot cider, cookies, and ornament kits for kids (while supplies last). At 4:30 PM, the parade kicks off, featuring festive entries and awards. After the parade, visit the Gravette Historical Museum for a holiday open house and tour the historic Kindley home. Enjoy performances by the Gravette High School band and choir, free photos with Santa and Mrs. Claus at the Community Building, and the Police vs. Fire Chili Cook-Off. Vote for your favorite chili with a donation, and all proceeds will support local charities. Don’t miss this festive family event. See you there! 🎄
