Lady Lions are STATE CHAMPIONS!! The #1 ranked Lady Lions softball team beat Pea Ridge 5-1 to capture the 4A state title. Pitcher, Brooke Handle was named State Championship MVP. Congratulations Coach Luther, Coach Cole and all of our Lady Lions on your historic State Championship win!!

Our students had a GREAT time today competing at our in-house "Once-A-Pawn a Time" chess tournament at the Western Benton County Career Center! Thank you, Ms. Ozbun, and our esteemed Glenn A. Duffy judges, Ms. Koelliker & Ms. Hartman.

Attention Parents that are NEW to Gravette Schools ❗ Next year’s enrollment packets are ready to go! This packet is for students who will be in 3rd, 4th, or 5th grade in the 2023-24 school year. (students coming from Glenn A. Duffy do not need to complete a new packet, their information will be rolled over for them). Physical packets are available in our front office or in bins located right outside our front doors. Once you fill out the packet, please return it back to our front office (Hours: 8-3 & last day of school is May 25th). If you are returning the packet after that date, you can drop it off at our Admin building (609 Birmingham St. SE, Gravette, Arkansas 72736 & hours: 8-3). Thank you!

Community resource ❗ Don't miss out on TOMORROW's food pantry. UPDATED HOURS: 12pm-2pm and 3:30pm to 5pm at the Western Benton County Career Center. This is for any family that has students attending Gravette Schools. 🦁

Lions M.A.N.E took a field trip yesterday to see a Naturals Baseball game! ⚾

As we come to the end of the school year, we have several students across the district that have outstanding lunch balances. Parents, please check your child's lunch balance here: https://www.ezschoolpay.com/Login.aspx
At each campus, we have a Care account where community members can donate money that will be applied to these unpaid lunch balances. It helps to reduce the debt to the student and family. There are several ways you can contribute if you feel led: cash & checks (make checks out to 'Gravette School Food Service" - drop all donations off at the school’s front office and mention it's for the care account) or get in touch with Food Service Director, Sheila, at 479-787-4100 ext. 1101.

Yesterday, 5th grade got the grand tour of GMS! They met their future teachers, learned the layout of the school, and were amazed that in 6th grade you switch classes so many times.

Ms. Ozbun is needing TWO MORE parent volunteers to help monitor student's play at the GUE Chess tournament being held on May 18th. Volunteers need to know how to play chess fairly well but don't need to be experts. She is also needing to borrow some chess games! You can email her at elizabeth.ozbun@gravetteschools.net. For teacher appreciation week, Dr. Barrett decided to host a superhero contest. She split our teachers into teams and they had chances throughout this week to earn points. Tomorrow, whichever team has the most points gets a secret prize! 🙊 Way to get in the spirit, Mrs. Knuckles, Coach Paslay, Mr. Smith, and Mrs. Gripe!

IMMUNIZATION REMINDER ❗ Students who will be age 11 on or before 9-1-23 are required to have a Tdap immunization. If your child will be entering 6th grade for the 2023-2024 school year, please update their immunizations this summer and send the documentation to school. One dose of meningococcal vaccine is required for 7th grade. If a dose was give at age 11 they do not need another dose. Students who have an exemption for immunizations must apply this summer for a 2023-2024 school year exemption from the Arkansas Department of Health. This must be done every year. Please contact your child's school nurse for any questions!

Happy Teacher Appreciation Week to all of our GUE Staff 🧡 Please take a moment out of your day to shout out your child's teacher and let them know how much we love and appreciate everything they do!
