We blinked and Finn grew 3 inches overnight! Here is Mr. Finn on one of his daily walks throughout our school. He is on the lookout for good pets and snuggles. Also, check out his handlers! Walking Finn is a BIG responsibility that teaches our students about taking care of animals and the incredible amount of work that entails. Great job, boys!
Today, we were "Mad about Plaid" and recess 😋 There is football, foursquare, soccer, monkey bars, swings, slides, and so much more. Did you know recess has a vital part in helping our lions learn?? Having recess increases levels of physical activity, improves memory, attention, and concentration, helps them stay on-task in the classroom, and improves their social and emotional development (e.g., learning how to share and negotiate). Plus, the weather in the afternoons has been perfection! 🌤

It's almost that time of the year! Battle of the Books is a competition in which our students choose one staff member to challenge. If the student earns more AR points than the staff member they are challenging, then they get a prize. Sign-ups for students are the week of December 11th through Mrs. Gripe. The challenge officially begins December 21st so everyone can read and test over break. We will send out another reminder when the time comes, but get excited! 📚
