Congratulations to our GHS Student of the Week! 🦁 Carlie Hembree is our winner. One of Carlie's teachers said, "Carlie has worked hard all year. She comes to class with a positive attitude and encourages those around her to do better!
She always makes sure to finish her work and motivates those around her. Carlie was one of the founders of the volleyball shop with a cop fundraiser and was a tremendous help this year! I appreciate all her efforts as she finishes out her senior year!" Keep up the great work, Carlie!

His willingness to assist others, whether it be through group projects or lending a hand to someone in need, demonstrates his commitment to creating a positive and supportive learning environment. What truly sets Carter apart is his remarkable ability to remain positive even in the face of challenging experiences, like tearing his ACL. He approaches difficulties with a resilient mindset, tackling obstacles with determination and a constructive attitude. Earlier this week, we took two reward trips this week to celebrate our amazing, successful students! 🌟 133 students who qualified for the Honor Roll after the first semester attended a reward trip to the Malco on Monday. Additionally, 142 students who showed growth and/or met grade level expectations on last year's ACT Aspire attended a reward trip to Fast Lanes on Wednesday. We are so proud of our student's success and are grateful for the opportunity to celebrate them!!
