Gravette High School has earned recognition for outstanding student projects at the Arkansas State Science and Engineering Fair. Gravette's 5th Best in State ranking was calculated by averaging the scores of all participating students from each school competing at the state fair.
Thirteen Gravette High School students qualified to compete at the state fair, held April 4–5 at the University of Central Arkansas in Conway, following strong performances at both local and regional levels. Several students received individual honors:
Wyatt Fisher, freshman, won 1st place in the Electrical Engineering category, and earned two additional special awards—one from the Office of Naval Research and another from the Arkansas School for Mathematics, Sciences and the Arts (ASMSA) for the Ignite Top Freshman Project.
Gage Bottorff, sophomore, placed 3rd in the Physics category.
Michael Bassing, sophomore, earned Honorable Mention in the Mathematics category.
In addition to students, Gravette High School’s Mrs. Susan Kedrowski, a 9th-grade physical science teacher, was recognized as the 2025 Regional Science Fair Teacher of the Year, celebrating her leadership in STEM education and mentorship of student researchers.
