Lunchroom menu update: As a result of supply chain challenges, beef fingers will not be a lunch option tomorrow. The options will be baked chicken or chicken strips. We are so sorry for these last minute changes!

Important announcement regarding this week's FOOD SERVICE: We want to let you know that our food supplier is experiencing supply chain issues. Unfortunately there are several items on this week's menu that we have not been able to get: muffins, beef fingers, chicken nuggets, yogurt, sausage, mini pancakes, and donuts. Our supplier is continuing to try and get these items for us, if there is any way they can. If they are not able to get some items, they will substitute them for another product. We will have plenty of food for our students, however it may not be exactly what's on the menu. We are so sorry for the inconvenience. We will continue to keep you updated!

Thank you officers! Today the Gravette Police Department donated class sets of white boards to each classroom at GDE. #experiencethepride

Families and friends, we need your help to keep our students safe and healthy and attending school! We continue to have large numbers of students being quarantined because a classmate came to school for 3-4 days with symptoms before going to get tested or while awaiting test results. A little sniffle or a sort-of sore throat or a headache that seems harmless, could be COVID. In the past, when one of my children was "a little sick” I would send them to school if they didn’t have a fever. We can’t do that anymore and keep our student body healthy and engaged in onsite learning. The very best way to prevent the spread of COVID and eliminate quarantines is for those with any kind of symptoms to stay home until they know for certain they do not have COVID. Thank you so much for your help! It is greatly appreciated! We want our students in school, learning and growing and having fun with us every day!

Take a look at this delicious lunch! Our ladies at the GDE cafeteria always do an amazing job. Who wouldn't like a meal served with a smile? Thank you ladies! #experiencethepride

Today some of our school board members visited GDE! They ate lunch with the 1st grade students and visited classrooms. Board members saw kindergarten students learning math with Mary Norberg, art with Brandi Brown, and saw 1st grade students learning vocabulary and reading with Candis Jones. Board members said they're impressed with the progress students have made this early in the year! #experiencethepride

Meet Glenn A. Duffy's "special" teachers!

Learning STEM Skills! Mrs. Davis's 2nd grade class had fun exploring science, technology, engineering, and math skills today. The students used these STEM bins to build and create. #experiencethepride

We are so excited about this opportunity to collaborate as a 2nd/3rd grade team! There are some great conversations going on in this room!!! #experiencethepride

❗ Parent Reminder ❗ All parents need to go through the car rider line to drop off and pick up their student. Please do not park at the other buildings and walk your child over. We are working out our first week jitters and promise the car rider lines will get faster.
Starting tomorrow (Tuesday, August 17), Glenn A. Duffy will not dismiss kids out the front door, unless they are approved walkers that live in the walk zone. If parents walk over, we will ask them to go back to their car and get in the car line.
You can view maps of all the drop-off/pick-up locations for our schools on our website with the link below! #experiencethepride

Kindergarten Alert!
Parents here's what your kindergartener needs for the first day of school: pencil pouch, a box of crayons, scissors, and a change of clothes in their backpacks. The rest of their supplies can start to come in on Friday, August 20th.
Also, please join our kindergarten Facebook page. We'll be updating it all year long with important information.
