As we near the first day of school, I wanted to take a moment to update GDE parents/guardians on some recent changes we have made to our drop-off/pick-up procedures. As you know, the safety of our students is our top priority. To ensure that all students are safe and supervised at all times, we have made the following changes:
K-2 Morning Drop-off- 7:30-7:55 A.M.
Preschool Morning Drop-off- 7:45-8:00 A.M
K-2 Afternoon Pick-up- 3:07-3:30 P.M.
Preschool Afternoon Pick-up- 2:45-3:00 P.M.
ALL K-2 STUDENTS MUST BE DROPPED-OFF AND PICKED-UP IN THE K-2 CAR LINE. K-2 STUDENTS WILL NOT BE ALLOWED TO BE DROPPED-OFF OR PICKED-UP IN THE PRESCHOOL CAR LINE.
A suggestion to make this work could be:
Drop K-2 students off in the morning at/around 7:45 A.M. then loop around to the preschool line and drop off pk students.
Pick-up preschool students in the afternoon at/around 2:45 P.M. then loop around and enter the K-2 car line.
Please allow extra time the first few days of school. Our Teachers, Staff, and School Resource Officers will be working hard to ensure both lines are moving efficiently.
