Today, we’re shining the spotlight on Rebecca Andrews, Assistant Superintendent of Curriculum and Federal Programs. From her early days as a teacher to her leadership in driving academic excellence, Rebecca’s commitment to student success and teacher empowerment has left a lasting impact on our schools.
Meet Rebecca Andrews: Championing Curriculum and Student Success
Rebecca Andrews was born in Springfield, Missouri, and raised in Nixa, a small suburban town, south of Springfield. She earned her Bachelor of Arts in Early Childhood Education from Missouri State University, followed by a Master’s Degree (2006) and a Specialist Degree (2011) from Lindenwood University in St. Charles, Missouri. Mrs. Andrews started her career in education teaching kindergarten in Nixa and then working as a reading specialist, providing targeted support to struggling readers through individualized and small-group instruction.
Mrs. Andrews transitioned into educational leadership in 2011, including serving as principal in several Missouri schools over the course of five years. In 2016, she took on the role of Assistant Superintendent of Curriculum and Student Services at Neosho, where she led strategic initiatives that improved state assessment scores and strengthened instructional practices. In 2019, she joined Gravette School District as the Assistant Superintendent of Curriculum and Federal Programs. Here she oversees federal programs, manages budgets and staff, coordinates family and community engagement, and implements innovative strategies to support academic achievement districtwide.

At Gravette School District, Mrs. Andrews has been instrumental in driving academic excellence and fostering a collaborative, learner-centered environment. As a former teacher herself, Mrs. Andrews believes that teacher voices are integral to decision-making. In Curriculum Development, Mrs. Andrews focuses on continuously improving the resources to enhance student learning, using data to identify gaps in students' learning, and ensuring instructional material aligns with state standards, meets the needs of Gravette students, and reflects the values of the community. Mrs. Andrews resides in Neosho with her husband Josh, five stepchildren, two young grandchildren, and small dog Zoe.

Her leadership, vision, and commitment to continuous improvement has made an enormous impact on our schools and community.
