21st Century After School Program

The 21st CCLC Program provides afterschool tutoring, homework help, learning, and enrichment time with a certified teacher. Parents need to fill out an application and attendance contract for their student(s) to take part. The program is offered to students in K-8th grade and is free! We have a limited number of spots available. If the program fills up, students will be placed on a waiting list.

You may choose to turn in the application in-person at the front office of your child's school. You can also email your completed application to the following contacts:

Frequently Asked Questions

Who is able to attend 21C?

Students enrolled in Kindergarten-8th grade.

How much does 21C cost?

21C is offered to our families at no cost.

When will 21C begin?

Tuesday, September 3, 2024

Will all applications be accepted?

As a program, we are limited to 125 spots (K-8).  Applications will be accepted beginning August 8, 2024 in order for everyone to have the same opportunity to sign up.  The program will review applications and you will be notified the week of August 19th if your application was approved.

What are the days and times of 21C?

Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday: Dismissal - 5:30 P.M.

Where is 21C located?

K-5 will be located at GUE this year, GDE students will be walked to GUE each afternoon.  We will have an inclement weather plan in place if it is not conducive for us to walk them over at dismissal time.  GMS will begin at GMS and dismissal will be at GUE this year.

Does my child have to attend EVERY day?

We do understand that sports and other activities sometimes prohibit us from being present every day.  However our funding is based on attendance.  We are able to offer it free to families because of this stipulation.  Therefore, if your child is only able to attend part time, his/her spot may be given to a student who is able to attend every day.

What are dismissal procedures?

Parents will pick up ALL students attending 21C through the GUE car rider line. Students can be picked up 4:30-5:30pm. Please note that there will only be staff at the pick up line starting at 4:30pm.  Pick up prior to 4:30pm will need to be approved and arranged through communication with the 21C director through Remind. Further information will be provided with acceptance letters.

How will staff communicate with parents?

We will utilize the REMIND app.  Our office staff leaves at 4:00pm so it is imperative that you use the app to communicate with staff.  Personal cell phone numbers from our staff will not be given out.

What is the discipline policy?

21C uses a 3 strike policy.  The program will follow school day expectations for behavior of our students.  These will be outlined more in detail and sent home with acceptance letters.  If your child receives 3 strikes for their behavior, they will lose their spot in the program.  This will also potentially make them ineligible for future years.
